Peacock & Cuckoo Flower Framed Original

A pencil and watercolour original of a Peacock Butterfly and Cuckoo Flower with notes. Framed in a refurbished (by me!) gilded oval frame, with glass. Small hole for hanging on the back. Dimensions: 21 x 16cms.

The Cuckoo Flower, also known as Lady's Smock, is one of the Peacock butterfly's food plants, along with Betony, Buddleja, and Dandelion to name a few. It's a plant I never get tired of seeing - from April to June it grows in damp meadows, ditches and on riverbanks.
