Peacock & Cuckoo Flower Framed Original

A pencil and watercolour original of a Peacock Butterfly and Cuckoo Flower with notes. Framed in a refurbished (by me!) gilded oval frame, with glass. Small hole for hanging on the back. Dimensions: 21 x 16cms. Please be aware that as my wildlife originals are framed in pre-loved frames, with their original backings and glass where possible, there may be imperfections.

The Cuckoo Flower, also known as Lady's Smock, is one of the Peacock butterfly's food plants, along with Betony, Buddleja, and Dandelion to name a few. It's a plant I never get tired of seeing - from April to June it grows in damp meadows, ditches and on riverbanks.
